PaceBoard ("we", "us", or "our") is a run and walk tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does with your information.
1. The short version
- PaceBoard has no account system and no servers of its own. We do not collect, store, or receive your workouts, health data, routes, photos, or location.
- Your data stays on your devices. The only third-party service that receives data is RevenueCat, and only for purchases (see section 4).
- PaceBoard contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
2. Information the app uses on your device
- Apple Health (HealthKit): With your permission, PaceBoard reads workout and activity data such as distance, steps, duration, and heart rate, and may write workouts and goal checkpoints back to Apple Health. This data is used to show your dashboard, widgets, Apple Watch screens, and progress. It is never sent to us, never used for advertising, and never sold.
- Location: With your permission, PaceBoard uses your location while the app is in use to record the route of a run or walk and to show your position and routes on the map. Routes stay on your device.
- Camera and photos: If you choose to capture a photo to overlay your route on it, PaceBoard uses the camera. If you choose to save a route photo, PaceBoard adds it to your photo library. PaceBoard does not read your photo library.
- App data: Your shoes and their mileage, goals, training plans, and achievements are stored on your device and shared between the iPhone app, its widgets, and the Apple Watch app on your own devices.
3. Permissions are optional
You can decline or revoke Health, Location, Camera, and Photos permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Some features will not work without the matching permission.
4. Third-party services
- Apple (StoreKit, App Store): Processes your subscription or one-time purchase. We do not receive or store your payment details.
- RevenueCat: PaceBoard uses RevenueCat to record and verify purchases. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipts and transaction information, an anonymous app user identifier, and basic device and country information, and returns whether you have PaceBoard Plus. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy. No Health, location, route, or photo data is shared with RevenueCat.
- Apple Maps (MapKit): Map display is provided by Apple under Apple's privacy policy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
5. Data retention and deletion
